Frequently asked questions about Lunaris: why a module isn’t working, Guild Protection, using the bot as a user app, and when the public API arrives.

Why isn’t a module working?

Most modules are off by default (a few, like moderation and music, are on from the start). Open the setup wizard (l?setup) or the dashboard and check it’s enabled, and make sure Lunaris has the required channel permissions.

Guild Protection banned a real admin.

Protection bans on the first unauthorized destructive action. Whitelist trusted users and roles with l?antinuke whitelist add, they’re then fully exempt.

Can I use Lunaris without adding it to my server?

Yes. Install it as a user app: social, fun and utility commands then work in any DM or server.

How do I get an API key?

The public API is not live yet, so no keys are being issued. Join the waitlist in the API Reference section above and we will DM you when it ships. Keys will be read-scoped by default and every request is reviewed by hand.

Introduction

Get started with Lunaris: invite the bot, open the dashboard and enable the modules your Discord server needs. Most modules are off by default, on purpose: a server that just wants moderation isn’t also carrying the weight of an economy system or leveling roles it never asked for. A handful of low-risk, broadly useful ones (moderation, music, invite tracking, giveaways, tags, logging, and a few others) are on from the start, since most servers want them.

Keep a record of what happens in your server. Logging covers six independent event types, each pointed at whichever channel you choose, and stat channels surface live counts in the channel list.
