Introduction
Get started with Lunaris: invite the bot, open the dashboard and enable the modules your Discord server needs. Most modules are off by default, on purpose: a server that just wants moderation isn’t also carrying the weight of an economy system or leveling roles it never asked for. A handful of low-risk, broadly useful ones (moderation, music, invite tracking, giveaways, tags, logging, and a few others) are on from the start, since most servers want them.
Most modules are opt-in: a few are on from the start
Every feature category on this site (Moderation, Economy, Leveling, all of it) is a separate module. Most start disabled on a new server: nothing in Economy or Leveling runs or grants a role until you turn it on, so a server that just wants moderation isn’t quietly carrying systems it never asked for.
A specific short list is on by default instead, because most servers want them immediately: Moderation, Music, Invite Tracking, Giveaways, Tags, Highlights, Logging, Auto-responder and Voicemaster (temp voice channels). Everything else (Economy, Leveling, Tickets, Welcome, AutoMod, Guild Protection, and the rest) starts off. Check or change any of it from the setup wizard (l?setup) in Discord, or the dashboard’s Modules page; both write to the same config either way.
Commands, or the dashboard: your choice
Everything documented on this site has a Discord command, and most of it also has a page in the web dashboard: the same setting, reachable two ways. Commands are faster once you know what you want; the dashboard is easier for anything with more than one option, like AutoMod’s filter list or a welcome message built from several variables. Neither is the “real” way to configure Lunaris; they write to the same underlying config, so switching between them mid-setup is completely safe.
Prefix, slash commands, or just a mention
The default prefix is l?, and nearly every command in this reference also exists as a native Discord slash command: type / and search for it. You can change the server-wide prefix from Settings, set a personal prefix that follows you into every server with l?prefix self, or skip prefixes entirely and just @mention the bot followed by your command.
